🟩 National Affairs

  • The 38th National Games of India concluded on 14 February 2025 in Uttarakhand, having commenced 28 January. 

  • The 15th edition of Aero India 2025 was held from 10-14 February 2025 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru with the theme “Runway to a Billion Opportunities”. 

  • The government approved expansion of translation services in Lok Sabha to include six additional languages: Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Sanskrit and Urdu. 

  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 issues and rights of persons with disabilities came to the fore amid proposed data-governance reforms.

  • The Economic Survey 2024‑25, released in February, projected India’s real GDP growth for FY 2025 at 6.4 %

  • Budget reforms announced in the Union Budget (1 Feb) influenced tax slabs, exemptions and fiscal discipline for 2025-26. 

  • The Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways launched infrastructure modernisation programmes to boost global trade connectivity.

  • The India Meteorological Department forecast above-average temperatures and below-normal rainfall for February, threatening winter-crop yields in north India.
